During this time of uncertainty, I’m proud to be a part of this effort to protect the rights of garment workers. Today, as so many big retailers cancel orders to save money, we are reminded again of how unfairly the most vulnerable workers carry the fashion industry on their shoulders. As covid19 rocks every corner of our industry, these workers face the greatest risks -- loss of wages, stability, and access to vital resources and medical care -- so shareholders can protect profits. Today I join @FairTradeCertified, stylist @rachaelwangstudio and other prominent female advocates to spotlight the women who make up nearly 80% of the garment industry.
