I ask April what advice she would give to a young girl ages 11-16 about outward appearances or comparing yourself to others and this beautiful response is what she said. The fastest-growing group of suicide attempts, anxiety, & depression in the US are girls ages 11-16. It has increase 3 fold in the last 5 years. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for kids ages 10-19. If you have a daughter or son play this for them and talk to them. Let them know they are enough, but MORE importantly get them to see it for themselves. . . After listening to this I feel that we ALL need to hear this regardless of age or gender. Too often as adults we may not worry about outward physical appearance as much but we worry about social, intellectual, & economical status or comparison. This is a gorgeous reminder of what is true & real. . .
