ザ・スターリン3rdアルバム “  虫 ” ( 1983年 )を思い出し、猛烈に懐かしくなった。
当時高校生(16歳／岡山)だった僕は、ボーカルの遠藤ミチロウが全裸でステージから放尿し、豚の臓物をオーディエンスに投げつけるという、前代未聞のパフォーマンスの噂を雑誌でみて無性に気になっていた。 アルバム “ 虫 ” に収録された全12曲のほとんどが1分〜2分で、同じフレーズを連呼する意味不明でシュールな表現方法に勝手にアートを感じ深読みしまくる事となる。僕のPUNKのイメージを構築した重要なバンドのひとつ。
ジャケットの絵画は、漫画雑誌 “ ガロ ” で活躍していた丸尾末広によるもので、これまた良い違和感。

I remembered THE STALIN’s 3rd album “Mushi” (1983) and became very nostalgic.
When I was a high school student (16 years old living in Okayama), I read the article about the unprecedented performance that vocalist Endo Michirou urinated on the stage naked and threw pig offals into the audience. Most of the twelve songs recorded in the album " Mushi " take only 1 to 2 minutes singing the same phrase continuously. His surreal and hard to understand expression somehow intrigued me and made me want to understand and analyze more about him. This is one of the important bands that built my PUNK image.
The painting used on the jacket also gives a good contradiction, created by Suehiro Maruo. He was active in the comic magazine “Gallo”.
