For Naoto Hattori (@naoto_hattori), “the soul is in the details.” His tiny acrylic paintings are the depiction of his lucid dreams. “I am fascinated by the mysterious sensation of being able to visualize things from memories,” says the Japanese artist. “The stream of consciousness flows continuously without end, like the flow of a river. I look at the distorted faces reflected in that river and draw them just as they are,” he says. “They may appear as asymmetrical and distorted large-eyed characters, but actually, they are real objects in the world of my memories.” #ThisWeekOnInstagram⁣
