Other than the benefits I've mentioned on the 2nd slide, hydration can also prevent Water Retention which is one of the culprits behind Bloating, and can make your weight fluctuate by as much as 2 to 4 pounds overnight (water weight).

Aku sendiri pernah ngalamin unexplained weight gain over a short period of time (I gained 3kgs in 5 days despite my diet being the same). Waktu itu udah sempet panik karena pas google malah muncul kemungkinan yang aneh2. Luckily, my health-nut brother told me that it could be as simple as #WaterRetention or #FluidRetention in consequence of Dehydration, and he advised me to drink 4.5L of water a day and urinate often for 3 days straight if I wanted to get rid of it asap (actually the balance will be restored anyway, but it will be much faster by doing that). Then voila, I lost 2kgs in 3 days ✌ (now I just drink 3L a day)

Kok lagi ada water weight malah harus minum banyak? Jadi penjelasan ilmiah nya gini 🤓:
"It may seem counterintuitive, but your body also tends to store water when you’re dehydrated: If you’re not drinking enough (apalagi kalau banyak mengkonsumsi alkohol dan/atau makanan asin), your salt/water ratio becomes unbalanced and your body will hang on to any extra fluids until the balance is restored." —webmd.com

One last thing (especially for women): drinking lots of water is one of the key strategies for preventing UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) atau infeksi pada saluran kencing/kemih (anyang-anyangan)! So, stay hydrated and urinate often! :)

Tips: Get yourself a bottle that can help you stick to this habit. For me, I prefer the ones with flip-top type of cap because it's more efficient than the screw ones, and it has to be big enough so I won't have to refill it too often (see 3rd slide for reference).
