絞りとは模様染めの技法の1つ
"Shibori" is one of the pattern dyeing techniques.

この町は1608年に東海道筋に生まれた町で
This town was founded on the Tokaido road in 1608.
2016年7月に国の重要伝統的建造物群保存地区に選定されました
The Arimatsu traditional streets were designated as an Important Preservation district for Groups of Traditional Building by the national government in July 2016. .

「服部家住宅」は1790年創業の絞問屋,服部家の邸
The "Hattori Family House" is the residence of the Hattori family, which was founded in 1790.
敷地間口は有松の中で最大
The frontage of the premise is the largest in Arimatsu.

「岡家住宅」は江戸末期の絞問屋の特徴が残っている
"House of Oka" retains the characteristics of a wholesale store in the late Edo period.
主屋は二階窓の優美な縦格子と、防火上塗籠造の代表的な有松の美しい外観を備えています
The main building has Nurigome-style anti-fire clay coating with second-floor latticework windows,and is typical of Arimatsu house with its beautiful exterior.
