I want to share something vitally important to me. And most likely you are with me on this but if not, please bare with me.

During this time we have ALL been affected in the worldwide FEAR. Whether it is Jon at the hospital, hands on dealing with patients and the sick, to those who have compromised immune systems themselves. In the beginning of this, I wasn't too worried. I thought this will pass in a couple weeks or a month. But as time has gone on and I went out into the world, to grocery shop, etc, I would come home feeling really awful. And I realized the general public is really really freaked out. So I was going up to the mountains and hiking a lot just to shake off all the stuff and get back to myself (and still am in the most remote off the beaten track places).. I am not one to watch the news because for years I realized that the news is designed to create fear, to ramp us up and get our limbic system (and attention)engaged. Which is basically engaging our "fight, freeze or flight" reptilian part of our brain. During this time, with everyone sharing all the info, I have had a feeling that there is something not right going on. I want to know what is really going on here. I have had a deep feeling that it is not what it seems. On That note, it is also EXACTLY what it seems. So, I end up with all this free time to be looking at Youtube and doing research (which is basically like watching the news) and seeing myself get panicked on some level by this belief or that belief, this reality or that reality, and I find that figuring stuff out and this whole situation can become so divisive even with my closest friends and family. I can only imagine those of us who are dealing with sickness or losing the security of their basic needs, like food, water and shelter, first hand.

I have been getting informed reading and watching views from all sides then bringing myself back to peace and neutrality. Then back to my own research or someone sending me something...heart rate goes up...then back to nature, meditation, yoga, walks, breathing, and watching funny programs or movies, laughing and being "normal", making yummy food ...It has been a balancing act!!
