Besides being made to make papier-mâché globes in school it hasn’t dawned on me to acknowledge the day. Of course like everyone over the past few years, I have become concerned about the state of the world and climate change but I think we can all agree that the start of 2020 Mother Earth has decided to hold her breath and wait to see what we do with the mess we have made. The entire world is at its knees. This isn’t a scenario where a major natural disaster has occurred and the world watches and sympathises and then moves on when another headline takes hold, the entire world is hurting together. We can’t look away. So as we wait for Mother Earth to exhale let’s just remember that we are all in this together.
