I knew but didn’t fully realize how present he was in my life until he was gone. The shock of his loss was Thee Most painful experience up to that point. After Ray passed and I had a talk with my mother who was pretty harsh when it came to death, I realized you never know what anyone is going through. My life was on hold n soon I had no other choice but to do my best showing up to work on sets, not showing/sharing what’s wrong. It’s called push the fuck through. I’m in pain ever single day after loosing him n my parents but I try my best to remember the good times because they don’t get better. I don’t need people feeling bad for me cuz it’s something we all have to experience. So many of us were lucky enough to call Voodoo a friend and lived through some great fucking days (mostly nights WOOOHOOO 🤟🏽). Voodoo Marjory Willi my Mom n my Dad with his kick and all the cool people are laughing at us being held hostage at home zooming for beats. Thoughts like this bring me joy and to feel any joy after so much grief is a step forward. When I grieve I shrivel up and can’t function. I have to really feel the pain so I can come to terms with it. After a few close friends n family came together to recognize many were holding on to him so much, we needed to let go so he could actually Rest In Peace. This stops me from being selfish and instead of being sad I’ll go thru a Voodoo file of Tenile and I laughing at him and still feels like he’s annoyed with us. Ahhhh so much fun we had. Fuck i miss this MAN telling 3,000 stories to get to Juan(1).
