I chose to sing ‘Il cielo in una stanza’ (The Sky in a Room) by #GinoPaoli because the lyrics are a poetic masterpiece. Gino Paoli said he wrote it for a prostitute in a brothel in Genoa, and I believe him, but it's amazing how at the same time words can adapt very well to situations very distant from the one that originated them. For example, they are perfect for these surreal days of quarantine; the song is exactly me, the days I'm living, my present.
