But I would. There's something so special and rewarding about reaching the finish line knowing you've pushed yourself to the absolute limit to raise money for a charity close to your heart. A day you share with so many other people of all ages from all over the world. 2017 was absolutely horrific. I'd got back from a very boozy holiday to Coachella and Mexico the night before, and I was a bit jetlagged and hungover. In hindsight this is very stupid and probably dangerous, but I wanted to do it all and miss out on nothjng. Also, I was running for Cancer Research because a friend of mine had recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer and I wanted to do my bit to ensure no one else had to die from cancer. I literally dragged myself round that course, telling myself this was nothing compared to what other people had to go through. I did it. It's amazing what we can put our bodies through, and of course the amazing atmosphere always helps get us through too. I had to include the most sexist article ever written about me too. Imagine I was running a marathon in sportswear to raise money for Cancer Research, and the article focused on me risking 'camel toe carnage'. Risking. Not even having it. Just risking it, well because I guess I have a vagina and wore sportswear. LOL. ✌️ Anyway, I can't wait to be able to gather again in large groups to raise money for charities close to our hearts.
