I don’t know much about engines but this apparently has the biggest engine they made for this truck. My father had just graduated from college and bought this truck and had gone back home to the farm. Someone stole it one night and my father prayed, “Lord, if my truck gets found, I’ll leave it here with my father (my grandfather), and I’ll go to preacher’s school.” Well the police called that night and said the truck was found and there you have it.... my father went to preacher’s school. It stayed on the farm as a working truck all the years until both of my wonderful grandparents left this earth. It then returned home with my father who continued to use it as a working truck. I always dreamed of having this truck passed to me but never thought there would be a chance because I have two older brothers. However, I think because I just loved it so much it finally came home to me. I want to share one of my favorite memories of this truck and the farm... Growing up we would take a family vacation to the farm and my father would take us out to the fields. He would take us to the cantaloupe field and pick one that was just perfectly ripe... “You can’t force it off the vine, Holly. It should come right off and then you know it’s ready.” He would then take a knife and cut it right there. Giving my brothers and I a slice. Perfectly ripe and just the perfect amount of warmth from the sun. I remember how sweet it was. Impossible to eat it without juice running down our cheeks. The sweetest cantaloupe you ever could taste. That mixed with the smell of the dirt and the Colorado sun on our faces while we ride in the back of the truck will forever be one of my favorite memories. (Don’t worry I have more memories. I’ll tell them as I post more photos. Hope you don’t get tired of pics in the good ol Ford truck.)」5月10日 3時17分 - hollyholm
