And the saddest part of this to me, is that I know, by posting this I will see the hate that is so rampant in this country. But we cannot hide from it or refuse to talk about it. As an ally to POC, LQBTQ+ and others, I know that if I don’t use a platform that I’m so fortunate to have, then I’m not being an agent for change. And change is never easy, nor pretty. But it IS necessary. I encourage you to share about this if you haven’t already. Be brave. Be loud. Be constant. People’s lives are depending on it. Repost from @littlejedat • Racism is another deadly virus we need to deal with on our planet , we can’t turn a blind eye because it does not affect us in our little bubble, we need to understand that we are all connected and whatever happens in any other part of the world affects us all , what happens in the US is a blatant example, a no mans land vibes where people carry guns and justify killing young black men out of fear ( how does this affect other racist people’s subconsciousness ? does it encourage them? does it bring more hatred out in the open )....yes deep down I know it’s a human issue but unfortunately it happens more often to black people ... I could choose to share only happy ,peaceful stuff , but this is reality and we have to speak up and share . The only route to healing is coming together and having "that" conversation, clearing the pathway to a new world of equality and love . If you truly believe in the world and truly want to share love and light , these issues have to come up and we have to work with it .
