Mostly because of you, this project I got to put together helped donate nearly 5000 N95 masks to hospitals including some urgent cares around LA that were in need like this one in particular Mend Urgent Care. A few months ago, I spent some time in Italy for Fashion Week. And of course, I knew when I got back to the United States that things were getting worse in Italy, so I went to a local urgent care – it was Mend in Sherman Oaks. When I got there, I learned that I couldn’t get tested at the time, but ended up talking to the staff and finding out that they also don’t have masks – and that’s essentially what inspired Little Things. So in the last couple weeks, we made a collection that donated almost 5000 N95s to hospitals, and we sent masks to hospitals from coast to coast. Then a few days ago, I went back to Mend and I was able to drop off some masks for them cause they still didn’t have many. It just serves as another example that small actions go a long way for the people that need it. Even though PPE’s are becoming more accessible to bigger hospital networks, some of the smaller ones might go forgotten or have less resources. I’m grateful that I am out in a position where I can help out.
