For those who haven’t read, there was a @guardian story released this week about these amazing boys who were shipwrecked for 15 months on the island of ATA in Tonga in the 1970s.
What’s really interesting is the comparison they draw with the famous ‘ lord of the flies’ novel. Unlike ‘ lord of the flies’ these Tongan boys banded together to help each other survive. They stayed positive throughout their ordeal and worked together.
@taikawaititi the legendary Polynesian director of ‘The avengers’ has said that a movie should be made with local talent.
It’s the kind of feel good story that could help bring the Tongan and Polynesian way of life and love into the World!
