I recently visited Havana again and was blessed to meet an amazing community of artists and activists who are part of a vibrant Afro Cuban cultural movement. I was deeply moved by these brothers and sisters, and their sincere sense of solidarity with the African continent and all of its global diaspora.
Their movement fights for representation of their african heritage and opposes racism on the island and abroad. The writer/poet, along with the Hip Hop artists/activists in this visual, use their art forms to shed light on racial inequalities in Cuba today.
