Open up and say Ahh! In the Gulf of Tadjoura off the coast of the small African nation of Djibouti, sub-adult whale sharks gather in large numbers every winter. Together they feast on prolific plankton blooms induced by oceanographic upwelling, spurned on by fierce desert winds.
