From winning my first super-G race in Lake Louise to World Championships (and that slalom race where I was sicker than I’ve ever been at a race), winning my first GS globe, and beyond...it was a season I will never forget. Throughout all of the records and the wins and the hype, my team and the people around me did the most amazing job of helping me stay focused on OUR goals—which was simple and is simple—it’s really just focusing on the process of improving my skiing, my technique, and my tactics...and that’s it. I feel like there’s always something I can do better, and my parents and coaches have taught me that thinking about skiing from that perspective vs. winning in and of itself, was going to be a more fulfilling way of approaching the sport. I think that right now, without sports, a lot of people are really excited about the opportunity to look back on their favorite past performances. NBC produced a short documentary in December that covered my 2018-19 season.
