I think I recall my big brothers shooting me with rubber bands on the regular. 😂 Also, recently I was working out with an extra large rubber band and I had it attached to an anchor and I had it wrapped around my waist and I was doing squat jumps, and sprinting away from it and pushing hard. As I was going at it, all the sudden the rubber band just snapped and slapped my leg and butt so hard I ended up getting a awful bruise and it was really painful! I was crying. 🥺 Resilience to me it’s kind of like a rubber band. I nerded it out on the dictionary reference of “resilience” and it mentioned being stretchable, supple, bouncy. So many things in life stretch us like “rubber bands” get stretched. Whether it’s the world events, culture, depression, peer pressure, confidence struggles, drugs, eating disorders, relationships challenging us, money hardship, learning challenges, crisis, lacking faith, injuries, family issues. ALL THESE PAINS and hardships WE FACE are real. And your not alone in these pains. I have sure struggled with just about all of these, or at least have seen the detrimental effect they have on others, at times. I didn’t let that stop me from living my life to the fullest. I clung to my faith, I focused on what I could do and I moved forward with gratitude. I believe you can do the same in your own life. I want to help you to live out your life with resilience and gratitude. With the right tools, mindset and support you to can bounce back like Amy, Lewis, Jim and I to live out a resilient epic life! So when life stretches us more than we’d like - we get stretched and stretched and stretched we CAN bounce back or forward to our strong, resilient, beautiful and worthy self.
