Push out a smile on FaceTime or zoom with your family. This is the only time in a thousands of years long existence we’ve been able to distract to this unlimited level. And now we are stripped down to basics again. There’s no denying that it is really hard on some. And there is no denying that it is an opportunity to refine perception and realize how lucky we are for what we have. We help each other, hopefully. We give and we try not to take when we really don’t need to. We examine our perception and we refine our goodness. I’ve gone through so many versions of myself and it’s been long enough now that I am left with those things I need: family, a few friends, a writing tablet, a few books, the moon, health, a challenge, to be present, and to listen. There are so many interesting stories out there, and when I’m on my death bed I want to remember all the interesting people I listened to. I want to remember the laughter of my children.
