It wasn’t planned. Here’s the story of how a chance moment last week turned into one of the most emotional video’s I’ve ever made. Watch it back after you read below for a whole new appreciation for the significance of the two nose boops. 💞 A slo-mo video of Venus walking went very viral last week so I thought, “Let me shoot more slo-mo cat “strut” vids.” Ginger walked up to Venus & they touched noses. It reminded me of a photo Venus & Mojo took in 2013 (which shows up right after Venus & Ginger boop). When I found the pic it brought me back to when Mojo was alive. It was also uncanny how Venus’s black side coming nose to nose with Ginger duplicated Mojo’s place in the photo against Venus’s orange side! Without knowing it’s Venus on the left & Ginger on the right in the first shot you might think it was a re-enactment with the same 2 cats BUT, not only is it NOT the same 2, their places are opposite sides. Because of Venus’s split face, she ‘played’ Mojo’s part & Ginger ‘played’ Venus in what ended up being an unplanned re-enactment. Adding the music really enhanced the raw emotion I was feeling. The pain never really goes away. Distraction just pushes it down til something happens that brings it back to the surface. In my case it was an unexpected nose boop and memories came flooding back. This is for anyone who has ever experienced a dream or flashback that brings back the hurt! It’s ok to have a good cry to work through the grief.
