⚠️WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES⚠️ Repost from @karmagawa In Minnesota earlier this week, George Floyd, an unarmed African American man, died after being arrested and the video that showed him being pinned to the ground by a white police officer who had put his knee on Floyd’s neck went viral. In the video, Floyd can be heard pleading with the police officer and telling him that he can’t breathe, to which the police officer says: “Relax”. Now all four police officers involved have been fired, but the mayor of Minneapolis and protestors across the country are demanding #justiceforfloyd calling for the officers involved to be charged and arrested. Protests tonight in downtown LA have erupted onto the highway with at least one of the protestors being injured and there are also protests and looting breaking out at a local Target and other area businesses in Minneapolis. What’s your take on all of this? We at Karmagawa believe strongly that we humans are all equal, #blacklivesmatter and we must #endracism so peaceful protests can be useful, but we are against looting and all acts of violence as we must all come together, NOT SPREAD HATE!
