To live in a world where we are not treated as equals and generations past generations the hate and racism continues to brew in this society is so disheartening to my soul. Im left with no more tears to cry, my spirit aches. My ancestors and parents had to witness/ experience these tragedies and now its my turn to relive these revolting merciless accounts by the hands of racist, I am disgusted and pissed. This trauma needs to end. I want to live in a world where my future children and the youth don’t have to see the continuous atrocities of injustice by the government and officials not having a moral compass to do the right thing. Where they turn a blind eye to murderers... you created this mess, you broke families, you diminished our rights, you gave us no peace of mind century after century. Where is your heart? Where is the justice? Where is your compassion? We continue to march tirelessly, sign petitions in solidarity, protest, riot out of frustration and create hashtags for awareness, all of the aforementioned for needed change, for some hope, yet we are met with emptiness, oppositions and left disgusted by your bigotry and hate. These cries are not being heard, our frustrations are not being acknowledged and our sorrows are being ignored. I’m spiritually exhausted for humanity. I too want to feel free. I want my people to be free, free of prejudice, free of systematic oppression and free of racial profiling. Is it too much to ask for to live and rejoice in a world filled with kindness and fairness? And this is why I implore you, SHINE!
