Gaby Dalkinさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Gaby DalkinInstagram)「I wasn’t prepared for the conversation that is happening in our world right now and you know what, that’s on me. I’ve spent the last week watching the news, reading, crying, sharing resources and educating myself and I will continue to do so over the next weeks, months and years. I am incredibly privileged and have been my entire life based on what I look like. Because of that, I need to do better. I need to be a better ally to the black community. It’s time to do some work. And man do we have a lot of work to do. That work will mean many different things to different people, but for me, you can expect changes here on What’s Gaby Cooking. I’ll be sharing more brands and companies that are owned by and/or supportive of our black community. I’ve already got a list going but if you know of any companies or incredible humans rocking it in the food world, please shout them out in the comments or send me a DM. And that is just the beginning. I’ve been flooded with messages after posting on my IG story on Friday (which is saved to my highlights for easy access if you are looking for resources) with people thanking me for using my platform. Please don’t thank me, this is part of my responsibility. I’ve also heard from just as many of you that you that wished I was posting food and cooking videos this weekend and to help lift their spirits. I get it. Food is something that brings people together from all walks of life. That’s why I started What’s Gaby Cooking. I wanted to create a community around this virtual table we ALL share. Somewhere where we could laugh, exchange stories, enjoy each others company, make new friends etc. And part of bringing people together around our table also means having to have those hard conversations that can sometimes be awkward and challenging. So let’s do that. Together. Because we need to do better. #blacklivesmatter」6月1日 7時01分 - whatsgabycookin
