This little girl’s experience of being black in America must change.

It is my opinion that the people of this country need to move towards holding love and justice fiercely and equally. White people in America need to acknowledge that we are a part of the profound racism (willingly or unwillingly) that exists in our country. It is the only way that we can move towards accountability and policy reform. This is the time for everyday leadership. This is the time to wake up to the ways that we allow the status quo to remain devastating, brutal and criminal. We must collectively rise to a state of consciousness that allows us to see the ways in which our lack of action contributes to the murders of black men and women in America.

With hearts full of LOVE we need to demand JUSTICE.
