I’m overwhelmed with heartbreak, outraged and sickened to my very core when I think of what happened to George Floyd and so many more 💔 . I stand in solidarity with our global family and those peacefully protesting to speak up against acts of hate and say enough is enough. Black lives matter. They always have and always will. . We spent this weekend having vital conversations with our children, educating them on how privileged we are because of the colour of our skin. They can’t fathom how such atrocities could occur because their hearts are so innocent, compassionate and loving of all beings. They are becoming aware of the injustice not just within our own country, but also beyond our borders. . I know I’ll never be able to fully understand but I will try, I will educate myself and my children, I will listen...with my heart. I will speak up and take action where I can. I know I might not say the right thing, or my words may not be helpful, but I’d rather say something than remain silent in the face of such injustice. .
