No matter how many people jump on here and try and tell you what to do and how to feel. Not everyone’s scream is the same. I cried and tear up now from watching that video of #GeorgeFloyd and those who came before him, it is burned into my heart forever. To imagine the pain that has been so ingrained in so many because of the color of this tube we call skin.. it rips at every heart string within me. I hate the evil in this world, it sickens me, worldwide, it’s nauseating. The protests have been beyond moving and people truly are really listening. 🙏 People are hugging even though just a week ago we were all in quarantine and dodging isles to not be within 6 ft proximity. Let people feel and process individually. Some will say something now and completely change their tune in a week, some will keep screaming the whole way through and some will speak when they are able to.. then there are some precious souls out there who are just surviving, watching and feeling. I speak to you because I understand how noisy it all is and how you need to close your eyes and find some inner peace. You have to keep your emotional and mental stability in check first and foremost before you can help anyone else. That is key. Anger is not wrong, it’s healthy, it is what you do with your anger that counts. Hurt is not wrong, it’s how you handle your hurt responsibly. But you know what is wrong? Taking advantage of the power you have.. whether that be in a cop uniform to looting in the streets or using your platform to influence emotional instability in human beings who are already struggling mentally. Emotions are high and mental stability is on its knees. So I hope when all is said and done, when we get to where we can start implementing the change we seek... I hope you look back at yourself and feel PRIDE instead of shame in this moment in history. This is your country, it’s mine, it’s all of ours.
