I was just asked the question “shouldn’t all lives matter?”... believe it or not this might be one of the most frequently asked question I get, so I’m just gonna break it down for y’all real quick the best I know how. Do all lives matter? of course all lives matter that’s what being human is but right now MY life matters, BLACK lives matter. If you understand what’s going on in our country and the world then you would see that. White people will never know what it’s like to be me. White people dont know what it’s like to be followed around in a store. White people don’t know what it’s like to be pulled over for no reason. White people don’t know what’s it like to be pulled over and be asked “is this car stolen”. White people don’t know what it’s like to walk in a room and notice that nobody in that room looks like you. White people don’t know what it’s like to have to look over your shoulder if you pass an officer. While people will never know what it’s like to wake up in fear that you or someone you love could lose their life to police brutality and/or racism. White people will never have to raise their kids to not make any sudden movements while getting pulled over and to do exactly as they say. White people don’t know what it’s like to not be heard. White people will NEVER know what it’s like to have black skin. YOU DONT KNOW and I don’t blame you but This is OUR fight. Yes stand for me I appreciate that but this isn’t about you white people. That’s one of the problems in America. Think about the people who are mainly asking that question.... it’s white America. Everything doesn’t have to be about you. MY people have been hurting for over 400 years. Let us hurt and have this one thing for us. If you want to help do your research. Talk to your people. Prevent this shit from happening again because you have that kind of power. Y’all so busy marching with us when y’all need to be having y’all own marches. Think about how powerful it would be if a group of white people protested FOR US. Anybody that knows me knows that I love everybody but again this isn’t your fight. So right now all lives DONT matter but Black lives most definitely do.
