As a white male I was born previleged. I have not suffered racism or abuse of power and injustice by a police force or anyone. So I cannot say I understand what it’s like. So today, instead of posting about it being my birthday I’d rather focus your attention on what is going on in the world today. I feel it is my obligation as someone with a platform to speak out and show where I stand and what I support! I support the #BlackLivesMatter cause! Yes, all lives matter, but that’s not the point. If there are 100 sheep, and one goes missing, Jesus said he would go after that one sheep. The 99 other sheep will go: “But what about us?” (Those who say all lives matter). Of course the 99 still matter, BUT THEY ARW NOT THE ONE IN DANGER! #BlackLivesMatter. I think it’s important to do SOMETHING in this moment in time. The world is moved by what it’s seen with the death of George Floyd. We’ve seen it over and over again! But now we are hearing the black communities’ voices louder than before saying THEY’VE HAD ENOUGH! It’s time to do something. So you’re asking how can you help? Go to a peaceful protest, show your support. Sign a petition. Donate. Say something online and to your friends and family. Keep the conversation going: and focus the attention on the cause, the protest... and not the looting. Or simply reach out to a black friend and say you are with them. Ask them what they need. It’s not time to just sit and watch as someone next to you is crying for help, saying “I Can’t Breathe. I’ve placed a link on my bio that has resources that can help you become active and help. When this topic isn’t trending anymore.... will you become silent and ignore it? #BlackLivesMatter #TheShowMustStop
