ヘイリー・ウィリアムスさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ヘイリー・ウィリアムスInstagram)「thank you @nashvillepeoplesbudget for empowering your city. last night i watched a livestream of a public hearing at which THE PUBLIC SHOWED UP to speak out against a proposed budget that would see more money go to police, courts, and jails - and money taken from affordable housing, education, arts, and public goods/services. it went on for 5 hours - i fell asleep watching. i fell asleep with hope that i havent felt for weeks... there were so many young people speaking up. i hope this is happening in every city across america. get involved at the ground level. band together with your community. hope and courage are infectious— is it too soon to use the word infectious? last thing: there is a lot of traumatic imagery and noise to be pummeled with every day, all day. remember (especially to my black and brown friends) to give yourself rest. take time to disconnect. breathe! listen to your favorite music. this is also a reminder to myself. our minds are a valuable weapon - we gotta recharge them, sometimes. i gotta take a moment to get off the internet and invest with my hands and my voice and my time and my money, in real life. i love nashville... but i don’t believe it is a fair city. we do more for the tourists who come through than we do for our own people. all our kids and future kids deserve better. see you out there.」6月4日 0時07分
