“Protesting... is the body’s reaction to oppression” John M. Perkins. This documentary is just 20 minutes long, it tells the story of this man and his family- a story of resilience, bravery and redemption. He founded the John and Vera Mae Perkins foundation now located in Jackson, Mississippi but originally started here, in LA. I strongly recommend to watch it. You can view it on YouTube, it’s called REDEMPTION, directed by Greg Fromholz.
