One idea I had was to highlight black-owned restaurants from cities across the country that are close to my heart. I am saddened to admit that until recently, I was not aware of any of these restaurants. I was never actively seeking and I truly wish I had been. I want to know better and I want to be better. I realize that the only way we have a shot at reversing the damage that has inevitably been done, is by actively pursuing and working to help. I must research, I must educate myself. These are just a handful of restaurants in a handful cities that are near and dear to my heart, but there are so many more out there and I would love all of you to share.
