Thinking of my species of human beings on a planet we still don’t understand with all the beautiful changes in motion. Humans spending their sacred life energy for a better future. We are all connected to each other through our digital web of information and communications. It’s an overwhelming time. With every great change, there is a huge amount of energy. The exhaust from that energy is tangible. You know how flight attendants instruct safety on airplanes “in the event of an emergency, please secure your mask before helping others”? Please take care of YOU during this time. It’s not selfish to be careful with your own mind and body. A sick doctor can’t heal. Make sure you come back to who you are. Through the grief, sadness, rage and violence...return to you. Think of those who shaped you. Who cared for you. Protect them by protecting yourself. Please take moments to breath and remember that we are all human. We are fragile. We are fallible. We are capable. Think of others around you. Know that they are human too. They have dreams. We are all here for a curriculum and then we are gone. It’s about what we leave behind. How do you want to be remembered? There is a unique power we all have to mobilize movements, share love and support positive change. I will use whatever power I have to continue to help and promote this positive change. I will continue to listen and learn while we move forward into a chapter of togetherness with love and respect for all humanity. I remain focused on the social injustices, racism within my own communities, the pandemic front liners/essential workers, and the political divisions...
