Bea just graduated elementary school this week!! As a parent with children who have been in the LAUSD school system for the last 9 years I have seen a complete lack of basic funding. While parents raise money for everything and corporate sponsorships are taken to cover the basics, they always have money for the police.

This weekend I wrote letters to the LAUSD demanding they redistribute the LASPD’s nearly 70M budget into leadership programs for Black students.

We need to start young, support children the very best we can. The police isn’t it.
