Never forgot that.”⁣ ⁣ ⁣ We collected these stories in five minutes scrolling through the stories people shared in response to a post @theconsciouskid made. They are not rare.⁣ ⁣⁣ Don’t let the child in your kid’s class be their first experience with someone who looks different than they do. ⁣ ⁣ The language in this post was inspired by “All the Colors We Are: The Story of How We Get Our Skin Color,” by Katie Kissinger & Chris Bohnhoff, which we highly recommend!
