It’s quite a few moments actually - all at @andrewlogangallery’s incredible living artwork #alternativemissworld. Here I am, leaving with my customary grace, after not winning yet again, despite the my ground-breaking performance. I believe I am the first in history to successfully stage-dive from the stage at @the_globe wearing nothing but platforms, six wigs and a jock strap. I moved to London in 1995 to work for Andrew on his legendary and intermittent event which has been running since 1971 - to give context this was just a couple of years after homosexuality and ‘cross-dressing’ were decriminalised in the UK. Andrew’s competition was, and is, a gender-neutral, non-binary, multi-racial, pan-sexual celebration of beauty - created long before these topics became buzz-words. Andrew, an artist I admired greatly from afar, became a friend and that is another element of my #pride. I am a trustee of his @andrewloganmuseum too!
