Often when you ask someone on the street to take their photo (and they say yes) they are flattered but a little tense (especially if the photographer is wearing a mask and during a pandemic) ! I find if I shoot until I get an image I like and then tell the subject “great! I got it!! We’re done!” The subject then relaxes into a pose so much more natural! Quickly I shoot a few more frames of that genuine moment of relief! These two images I captured yesterday of @bashari.ansari are a perfect example of this , both capture a side of her personality in very real but totally different ways.
