I happened to be reading the short story “Whatever Happened to Interracial Love?” by Kathleen Collins in @granta_magazine Issue 136 Summer 2016 and just realized that it is #lovingday today. (The day the Supreme Court struck down state ban against interracial marriage in ‘67) I was reading it for an obvious reason of current climate but also because I was missing the day I bought this issue at @mcnallyjackson (or any mundane days we used to be able to roam to bookstores) - the day I vividly remember because I picked up this issue 136 titled “Legacies of Love” as I was in a big heartbreak (from interracial love) that summer. Though this particular short story is not simply about romantic love. (How could it be?) My heart was pounding while reading the last few pages of this.
