40 years of LOBA:
1984– Stormi Greener – Life of 100 Years: Milestone or Millstone

Commissioned by the Star Tribune in Minneapolis, the US-American photographer documented people who had already lived for over 100 years. The focus of the series, which won the LOBA award in 1984, was Hattie, who was already 106 years old at the time. Stormi Greener captured Hattie's uneventful everyday life in a nursing home in sensitive pictures. For the photographer, it was also a very emotionally moving reportage then and that had to end shortly afterwards with the death of the old lady.
