I am excited to be participating in @empireconventions virtual convention! I have had the wonderful opportunity in the past to meet so many of you in person. When I do, my focus is on each of you for the moments we are given. Listening to your stories and struggles. Finding moments to make memories and sharing love. I always leave so enriched and inspired. My hope and intention is to keep this spirit alive. In our ever changing world I hope to focus this on the global movement happening now. It has me working to be an educated ally and finding active ways to be inclusive of all races and disenfranchised communities. My hope is that my participation is going to allow us to continue having the tough conversations we MUST have and leaning in! So I Gratefully accept this invitation @empireconventions motivated by the simple fact that a substantial portion of my ticket sales will be donated to “The Conscious Kid.” @theconsciouskid is an educational, research and policy based organization working to reduce bias and promoting positive identity development in youth. They partner with organizations, children’s museums, schools and families across the country to promote access to children’s books centering underrepresented and oppressed groups.
