"They must've been doing something bad", or "they shouldn't have resisted". I've heard it all. "If you don't do anything wrong the cops won't shoot you" Well, let me tell you about a few black people that are no longer on Earth that did nothing wrong but still were murdered. We all make mistakes, especially as young people; but no person should die because they cashed a bad check, went for a jog, took a nap in their car, or were sleeping soundly in their own bed. It's not right, alright. Thanks to @kristavernoff for explaining her #whiteprivilege I'm sorry but this uncomfortableness that some of you feel when we mention white privilege is a part of the process because it is real. Just focus on trying to help instead of taking it personal. If you're a racist then this is an attack on you, if not, this is an attack on a racist system that doesn't value a black life the same way it does a white one.
