I’m so happy to see people protesting here (in Tokyo) for the cause. Some comedians in America joke that racism doesn’t exist in Japan. They are wildly inaccurate. Black people & all Non Black POC here put up with a lot in Japan (EVEN being half Japanese) and I hope one day they will be accepted warmly and not judged for looking different. Contributing (which comes in many forms) is so important and I encourage you all to seek what you can do. My incredible mother, who majored in Black Literature, is really helping me learn how to contribute in the best way I can. We will fight this together.
