COMMON LANGUAGE 001: DE LA MATIERE

For the first issue of @CommonLanguageMag, we collaborated with designer @Dean.Giffin. In this series of intriguing images, he captures the magic of the fabric and reveals the sculptural potential of the @シャンテル SoftStretch collection. Highly visual, the lines are alternately tense, elastic, and flexible: a variety of states that showcase a new relationship to movement. This elasticity is expressed through a neutral monochromatic palette, a minimal statement reminiscent of the most beautiful works in the history of art, from antique marble busts to the hybrid forms of Louise Bourgeois. A sweet and singular vision, between classicism and modern purity.
