It can be tempting to put nurturing ourselves and spirits last at times like these. It can feel hopeless or selfish, but we must. A practice that I find helpful is called “Good Morning, I love you”. So basically, every morning upon waking I put my hand on my heart, feel into the connection and greet myself with “Good morning. I love you Bianca.” And then I sometimes send that gesture of love out to anyone that comes into my mind that morning as well. We don’t have to wait for someone else to say ‘I love you’.
