Was worried about my dad being by himself- but he’s formed such a beautiful friendship with a young ex-refugee from Syria. Ahmed is only 20 and has absolutely no family in Sweden. He always checks on my dad, asks if my dad needs any food shopping doing. In turn my dad makes them meals, has taught him ‘Hoqm’ a Persian card game that they play together. Ahmed comes and sits in my dad’s balcony (as his apartment doesn’t have a balcony) and does his studies there. And now neither of them is lonely.
