Ruby Bridges.
At six years old she was the first black child to attend an all white Elementary school school in the south.
US marshals had to escort her through crowds of screaming adults & children threatening her life and scaring her with a coffin she was told was for her. She was only allowed to eat packaged food the entire school year because of the threats of poisoning her.
All of the teachers left but one who remained to teach her. Most of the students left as well.
Imagine your life at 6 years old.
Today Ruby is only 65 years old.
Not long ago.
And she is our queen. 👑
Her bravery is legendary.
