I knew and kept secrets of everyone who sat in my chair. Back then many of us just had to seek therapy in non-traditional ways, because of lack of trust and overall economic status. Those days behind the chair definitely helped to shape my strong personality. ⠀ ⠀ I didn’t create adwoa beauty because I couldn’t find any products on the market for my natural hair. No. I created adwoa beauty because I needed a brand that not only had amazing products, but one that I could identify with and that upheld my morals and values as a human being. Values such as transparency, truth, vulnerability, and overall community. ⠀ ⠀ I created adwoa beauty as a brand whose mission is to help drive the black community forward by example. To provide resources, access, and, best of all, possibility. Our presence and success at Sephora will create hope for future black founders that come from where I come from, that anything is possible.”」6月21日 2時04分 - sephora
