Father’s Day. How many posts we always see on Mother’s Day and how many of us actually have amazing fathers whom we want to celebrate? Well I’m sure there are people like that here too. But I want to say few words for those whose fathers weren’t there for them. I am that one too. My father is not a bad guy but never been around when I needed him. He never been around.. period. And although now he started it all fresh having a new daughter and I’m already in love with her just knowing that somewhere there I have her in my life... still, I have a long path behind me forgiving him and accepting him as he is. And I know there are many of us like that too. We grew up strong, independent, with passion for life and to make things different. We are full of love, compassion and kindness. We have people who supported us on that path becoming ourselves, we have them by our sides. This is important. And I wish that ‘Father’s day’ won’t make you sad today but to make you smile. Take a look on that long way to where you are right now you’ve made and to see how amazing you are! Maybe my words make no sense to someone .. but every Father’s Day I remind myself: I am what I am today because of that too. I grew up strong, I learned from pain and I learned from forgiveness, vulnerability and compassion .. to be who I am today and to support others on that path too. As long as we can be here for each other - we are family. Family we choose. That is important.
