Fatherhood will always be a bit of a mystery to me. Growing up without a Dad left me with a lot to wonder & when I had kids of my own I really started to understand the importance of that sacred role whether biological or surrogate. I understood the value more fully when my step-dad came into my life...he had no idea what he was in for with me haha. This year, I was able to make a film that tried to address the complexities of fatherhood & I can’t wait to share it wih the world. UNNUR is the story of my good friend @ellithor - whom I am humbled let me tell his story. Thanks to those that have written me after seeing it in festivals. Im so grateful it struck a chord.
