I could no longer go without seeing my adult kids, so I made the tough choice to end my isolation with a visit to Atlanta. I parked my car at the Jacksonville airport. Upon walking in, I realized I had left my cell phone (also access to my ticket) in my parked car. Panicking, I approached the Delta check-in counter and asked if I could use a phone, explaining my predicament. I was almost in tears when a lovely woman named Lenita with Delta offered her phone to me. Overhearing my problem, a gentleman behind the counter named Bryan with the Delta IT department came to the rescue, offering to drive me to the lot to retrieve my phone. He in all likelihood saved me from missing my plane and seeing my children! He was so professional and kind. He not only drove me to the lot but waited for me and drove me back to the airport.
